Lake City Soccer Club (LCSC) is a completely volunteer-led 501(c) nonprofit that has been providing fun, safe, inclusive, and affordable recreational soccer for Seattle youth in the Northeast neighborhoods since 1969.

A proud founding member of the Seattle Youth Soccer Association, Lake City Soccer Club was established in 1969 and immediately contributed to growing the game in our home city, expanding from just a handful of teams to serving more than 1,000 players in just its first three years. Since then, LCSC has come to offer youth soccer opportunities to players throughout northeast Seattle and today maintains a rich Seattle soccer heritage. Player and coach alumni include Pacific Northwest trailblazers Walter Schmetzer, Brian Schmetzer (current Seattle Sounders Head Coach), and Mike Ryan (inaugural coach of UW Men’s Soccer and first head coach of the US Women’s National Team). As it approaches its seventh decade, the club continues to serve participants, families, volunteers, and communities of all backgrounds in and around its home territory bordering neighborhood namesake Lake Washington.
